Parents in Recovery: Reading & Discussion (online)
January 19, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
A doctor said to us, “Years of living with an alcoholic is almost sure to make any wife or child neurotic. The entire family ask to some extent, ill.” (Page 122, Big Book.)
All are invited to share their experience, strength and hope at a Zoom reading and discussion of “The Family Afterward” 6:30-7:30 p.m. over four consecutive Tuesdays (January 12, 19, 26 and February 2).
Zoom Meeting ID: 844 0631 2649

The Big Book further advises families to realize that “all will not be fair weather” as the alcoholic starts his/her recovery.
Early recovery is a major test for families, often continuing for many years. But there is no going back if we want healing for ourselves and our loved ones. The challenges with family faced by recovering alcoholics are not unique to each, whether they have “time,” are in early recovery or are new to AA. We are not alone.
