A New Pop Up In Marin

The Marin Pop-Up Bookstore is coming to Tuesday Chip for a three month trial starting April 30 @ 7:30-9:45pm. The Pop-Up will be held on the last Tuesday of the month at the meeting, which is located at San Rafael Community Center, 618 B St., San Rafael. On-site literature sales will be available. The new Pop-Up is in addition to the regular Pop-Up Bookstore on the third Monday of the month at Marin General Service, where pre-orders are available.

A.A. History Event & Meeting

Many remarkable women found recovery in the early days of A.A., including Florence R., the first woman alcoholic to have her story published in the Big Book. Learn about one of A.A.’s prominent pioneers on Saturday, May 4 @ 9:30am. The 4W A.A. Group presents a history talk by Mily T. (San Francisco) on “The Most Unlikely Journey of Florence R.”, followed by an A.A. speaker meeting.

General Service Conference Update

Following the 2024 General Service Conference, our Area Delegate sent a brief update on the Agenda Topics that garnered the most interest from the Fellowship. The publication of a Plain Language Big Book was approved by substantial unanimity. Details on when it will be available are yet to be announced. Pamphlets for the Transgender Alcoholic and the Asian/Asian American Alcoholic were also approved by the Conference. A full report about what happened will be shared at the Post-Conference Assembly on May 11.
