An Important Message about 2024 Gratitude Month

2024 has been a financially challenging year for San Francisco and Marin Intergroup. Individual contributions (including “Grateful Givers” monthly contributors, general contributions from A.A. members, bequests and honorary contributions) have been considerably less than in 2023. As of September 30, 2024, we are 29% under budget for individual contributions. Intergroup is taking significant steps to decrease our expenses and planning a more conservative approach for our 2025 budget. Intergroup depends on contributions from groups and individuals to ensure we are here tomorrow for the alcoholic who still suffers.

A.A. Members: Contribute online or Venmo @SFMarinIntergroup! We also accept checks by mail. Or click here to contribute monthly as a Grateful Giver.

November is Gratitude Month in Alcoholics Anonymous! Many A.A. groups, both in-person and online, will pass a second basket at each of their meetings this month. Your contributions to San Francisco and Marin Intergroup (aka Central Office) help fund essential 12th Step services, including:

  • Running your local Central Office
  • Selling Conference-approved and AA Grapevine literature
  • Publishing local meeting schedules
  • Maintaining the aasfmarin.org website
  • Operating a 24/7 telephone helpline

Information for Group Treasurers

After passing a basket for the 7th Tradition, please consider passing a second basket around for Gratitude Month.

Please track your 7th Tradition and Gratitude Month contributions separately, and at the end of November, send Gratitude Month contributions to Central Office as two different transactions.

  • If you send in group contributions via the web form, be sure to click on the box “Gratitude Month”.
  • If you mail a check, include Gratitude Month in the memo line, along with your meeting name and day/time.
  • Or drop by Central Office in person to contribute with cash!

Here is a sample announcement as you pass the second basket in-person:
