Intergroup Board Elections

San Francisco and Marin Intergroup is now accepting Board nominations for elections in June. Serving as an Intergroup Board member is a big and rewarding commitment. The Board is responsible for overseeing and supporting Intergroup on behalf of the A.A. groups in Marin and San Francisco. To be eligible, you must be an active member of A.A. with a minimum of two years sobriety. Click here to learn more about serving on the Board and if you’re interested, submit your statement of interest no later than May 1.
 

HelpChat Orientation

Have you wondered who is on the other side of the blue “Need Help?” chat bubble on our website? It’s A.A. volunteers! And, you can be one of them. HelpChat is a great way to practice the 12th Step and be there for the newcomer who reaches out for help. Volunteers answer chats from their smartphones or laptops and on their own schedules. Come to an orientation on April 23 @ 5pm.

Delegate’s Report at the Post-Conference Assembly

The 74th General Service Conference took place this past week in Brooklyn, NY. Hear everything our Area Delegate saw, felt and heard at the Conference during the upcoming hybrid Post-Conference Assembly. The Delegate’s Report will include the results of the Conference deliberations on the agenda items for the Plain Language Big Book translation and proposed pamphlets for the Transgender Alcoholic, the Unhoused Alcoholic, and the Asian and Asian-American Alcoholic.

 Meeting and A.A. History Event

Many remarkable women found recovery in the early days of A.A., including Florence R., the first woman alcoholic to have her story published in the Big Book. Learn about one of our prominent pioneers on Saturday, May 4 @ 9:30am. The 4W AA Group presents a history talk by Mily T. (San Francisco, CA) on “The Most Unlikely Journey of Florence R.”, followed by an A.A. Speaker Meeting.
 

Save The Date: Annual H&I Conference

The 48th Annual Hospital and Institution Conference is May 3-5 in Bakersfield, CA. The conference combines Northern and Southern California H&I Committees for an amazing weekend of panels, speakers and fellowship. This year’s theme is “A State of Love and Service”. All are welcome, and you do not need to be a member of an H&I committee to attend. Pre-register here before April 24.
