Intergroup Inventory

Your Intercounty Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous (also known as “Intergroup”) coordinates services that individual groups in San Francisco and Marin cannot provide, such as the aasfmarin.org website, Central Office / Bookstore, and Teleservice, to name a few.

Intergroup will soon be conducting an inventory. Just like a typical A.A. group inventory, Intergroup will be exploring whether it is doing all it can to help further A.A.’s primary purpose, which is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.

If you have any thoughts about how Intergroup is doing, or what Intergroup should be doing, please talk to your meetings’ Intergroup Representatives (IGRs) and let them know what issues Intergroup should be exploring in its upcoming inventory. Remember, Intergroup works for you! Thank you!

Service Committee Spotlight: Archives!

Undated photo of 693 Sutter St./Taylor St.  – this building housed the first Central Office starting in January 1947.

The Archives Committee preserves the legacy of A.A. through the collection and preservation of archival material, like objects, recordings, photographs, prints, documents, interviews, etc. The goal is to collect and preserve local A.A. history for future generations.

As a way of generating participation and enthusiasm for A.A. history, the committee hosts a series of history meetings on various topics of local interest. If you (or your group) has a topic, please send it to [email protected].

Archives is looking for volunteers to help collect group histories, member stories, catalog, organize, create and recreate visual displays, scan, file and lots more. Meetings are held in person at Central Office on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 12-2pm PDT.
