Returning to In-Person Meetings: Town Hall Debrief

A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended and participated in last night’s Town Hall regarding the return to in-person meetings. There were close to 250 members in attendance! Much pertinent information was shared regarding public health considerations, facility recommendations, and experiences from members in meeting spaces who are already hosting in-person meetings. Information and slides will be posted online at aasfmarin.org/resuming. Look for some of the key takeaways in next week’s edition of the Buzz.

We highly encourage you to discuss the return to in-person meetings with your groups! And check out the results to our “return to in-person meetings” survey here.

Founders’ Day Events Are Coming Up Soon!

Mark your calendars for not one but TWO Founders’ Day Events happening in June! Intergroup will be hosting a virtual event on Saturday, June 12th. More details (and a nice flyer!) are coming soon.

You are also invited to attend a hybrid event – either online or in-person in Marin – on Sunday, June 13th! See the nifty flyer below or check it out on the events page

Grapevine and La Viña Celebrate Founders’ Day with 2 Weeks Free Access!

That’s right, y’all. From May 26th through June 10th, The Grapevine/La Viña will provide free access to their publications to celebrate A.A.’s inception. Hear it in their own words below:

“On June 10, 1935, Dr. Bob had his last drink and that day marks the founding of Alcoholics Anonymous. Since so many meetings are still closed, and groups have limited ability to celebrate our founding, Grapevine and La Viña will help mark this important date by giving everyone free access to our websites for two weeks. You will be able to read and listen to stories from current and past issues, access our sobriety calculator, read the daily quote, learn how you can contribute your story, and find ways to serve others using Grapevine and La Viña magazines.”

Woohoo! Happy Reading!

Tomorrow, Step One Speaker Event!

A reminder that this quadruple-speaker event is happening tomorrow, Saturday, May 22nd @ 4pm PDT! The focus will be on Step One and will have Al-Anon participation. Flyer below!
