Public Health Updates for Groups to Consider

As many of you already know, on August 13th the SF Dept. of Public Health issued a health order requiring proof of vaccination to enter restaurants, bars, gyms, fitness studios, and large indoor gatherings of 1,000. Please note that this update does NOT require ALL businesses to require proof of vaccination. More information about the new health order can be found here.

However, please keep in mind that clubhouses, churches and other meeting spaces may still choose to require proof of vaccination for A.A. meetings that rent their meeting spaces, and that is within their legal rights. This may be due to liability requirements of their insurance or what their Board deems most prudent and wise for the safety of all.

Try to be kind to those special workers and volunteers who are being put in a really difficult situation. If you are not vaccinated or disagree with the facility requirements, consider attending an outdoor meeting instead. “Our common welfare comes first.”
