A Night of Family Recovery

The 10th annual “Night of Family Recovery” is Saturday, May 13 from 5:30-9:30pm. This hybrid Al-Anon event with A.A. participation includes a meeting with speakers from both programs, Billy N. of Florida and Arisa B. of Massachusetts, a potluck dinner, fellowship, entertainment, pop-up bookstore and a raffle giveaway. A $15 contribution is suggested to cover the cost of the event but no one will be turned away.

Living Sober’s Spring Fling

Spring Fling, the biggest legacy sober drag show in the Bay Area is Saturday, May 6 from 6-10pm. The event starts with an A.A. meeting (with Al-Anon participation) followed by a drag show @8pm hosted by Minnie Happyreturns and Laybelline. A $25 contribution is suggested to cover the cost of the event but no one will be turned away.

Intergroup Needs a New Treasurer

San Francisco and Marin Intergroup is seeking a new Board Treasurer starting July 2023. The Treasurer helps prepare and present the financial statements and oversees the annual Intergroup operating budget. This is a two-year commitment and it is a great opportunity to be of service to Alcoholics Anonymous. Please spread the word and for details reach out to [email protected].

 

The Point is Seeking an Associate Editor

Do you enjoy proofreading other people’s writing? If so, you are in luck, because The Point is looking for a new Associate Editor. The Point is a monthly publication featuring works by local A.A. members. Consider getting involved with The Point Committee and help The Point Editor by proofreading and editing monthly submissions from fellow A.A. members. Did you know we get a lot of calls from people asking about A.A. “classes”? To help people who are court ordered to attend A.A. meetings, Intergroup has updated our information on being court-ordered to A.A. Included in this one-pager are helpful tips and suggestions about A.A. and getting court cards signed. Feel free to share this information with your A.A. Group.
