“I am responsible, when anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And, for that: I am responsible.”

What Is Teleservice?
Teleservice is a 24-hour helpline for alcoholics in need. We refer callers to A.A. meetings, provide information about A.A., and refer 12th Step workers in San Francisco and Marin counties. Phone volunteer shifts are 4-8 hours, once per month, and are taken from your own phone. 12th Step workers are referred to callers by phone shift volunteers and call or visit alcoholics in need when requested. Our helpline number is (415) 674-1821.
How do I become a Teleservice phone shift volunteer or a 12th Step worker?
New Teleservice volunteers should attend the orientation on the 3rd Monday of the month at 6pm via Zoom. New volunteers are also encouraged to attend the business meeting immediately after Orientation to connect with a phone shift coordinator. There is a six-month sobriety requirement to become a Teleservice volunteer.
Monthly orientation and business meetings
Orientation is held the 3rd Monday of each month at 6pm. The business meeting is held directly after at 6:45pm. Both meetings are held via Zoom using the same link.
