SF Unity Day is Tomorrow, Sat 10/9!

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, here’s a final reminder to join San Francisco Unity Day (Online), tomorrow, Saturday, October 9th @ 10am PDT!

And don’t forget next week is Marin Unity Day (Hybrid) on Saturday, October 16th @ 12pm PDT! Come share in service with us!

IFAA Executive Director Position

As many of you know, after 20 years of dedicated service, Maury P. has resigned from her position as the Executive Director of the Intercounty Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. We acknowledge that our original announcement in the August 6th issue of The Buzz may have created confusion as to the circumstances surrounding Maury’s transition. We would like to make it clear that Maury was generous in giving notice to the Board and is still in the position of Executive Director as we work to find her replacement. She has graciously agreed to support the Board in the process to find a new Executive Director as we know these are big shoes to fill.

Over the past 20 years, Maury has been an exceptional leader and has not only impacted A.A. in San Francisco and Marin, but Intergroups throughout the U.S. Over the past year and a half, she fearlessly led us through the pandemic, pivoting all of our services online, making San Francisco and Marin A.A. a resource for alcoholics the world over. We are forever grateful for her exceptional work and service to the San Francisco and Marin fellowship. Please join us in sharing our gratitude and celebrating Maury’s many accomplishments using this virtual card.

While we are sad to see Maury transition to the next chapter of her journey, we are looking for the next Executive Director of the IFAA. If you feel you’re a fit for this position or know someone who might be interested, please check out the job description on aasfmarin.org. Please spread the word to your groups and fellows!
