November Intergroup Meeting Summary
The meeting minutes and financial statement from Intergroup’s November meeting have been posted. Intergroup is dedicated to the idea that all voices should be heard. We rely on the principles of justice, courtesy, kindness, and love to keep the conversations going. We need group interaction, representatives, and volunteers for our committees and service entities. We need your expertise and we need your commitment to the work of getting the message of A.A. to all those who need it. Our lives, our unity, and our function depends on communication.
At the November 4th Intergroup Meeting, a motion was made and passed to revisit the acceptance of the $140,000 bequest and to have Intergroup Representatives go back to their groups for discussion and to gain their group’s informed conscience on whether to return it. The matter will be discussed as Old Business at the December 2nd Intergroup Meeting with the potential for Intergroup to reach a decision.
To give input on this topic, please make sure that your Intergroup Representative (IGR) creates space to collect your group’s informed conscience before the December 2nd Intergroup Meeting. If your group does not have an Intergroup Representative, please have your group elect one so your group can participate in these discussions.
