Sanity and Simplicity: Practicing the 11th Step Life
October 31 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Even though one’s busy work/social/gym schedule may be curtailed by the coronavirus lifestyle, many people don’t find a simpler and saner life. They simply fill up time with lots of little things to do, internet, projects long delayed, but just as little time for the 11th step as ever.
Simplicity is not so much about a simple life, but rather about a freedom from the bondage of anxiety, fear, and guilt, to name a few things the 11th step faces in its practice. Simplicity allows for some peace in facing life’s issues as they arise. The unexpected, the unplanned events don’t threaten any need for control since control simply no longer controls us. This is the experience of sanity in the 12 steps.
